This is a lovely Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Evening Purse. It is a highly engraved example of a fine quality Victorian Era Coin, Dance Card purse. It was used to hold coins, dance cards, powder puff & small mirror. The chain link handle has an approximate drop of 7 1/2. The body of the purse is 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″. The front is decorated with a high relief flower design, with a heart in the center and the monogrammed letters. The back is plain. The interior has a clover shaped card holder bracket, following compartments for other necessities. The inside is marked with what looks like a horse, Sterling & 7248. I can not make out the other markings. The overall condition is very good, it is a solid piece at 107.7 grams. It is a beautiful piece.
