This pendant is shaped into the Hittite Sun Disk, an ancient symbol dating back to over 4000 years ago. It is not known what the full purpose of the Sun Disk was, but it was often seen in religious ceremonies and was often buried with kings. Features a pin stem and open “c” clasp for alternate wear as a pin brooch. Finished with a jump ring bale for wear on necklaces and chains as a pendant. Damage : Age appropriate wear. There is some tarnish on the sterling silver, which gives it a lovely antique quality. The price has been reduced to reflect this.
