Original Old Antique Red Tin Box Heavy Unsearched Bank of 2.29LB Old US Coins. This old antique tin box is from the 1930’s. I think this was originally for use in the Boy Scouts, however at some point it was converted into an Old Coins Piggy Bank. I assume by a child or family saving up their change, but I don’t know. This Unsearched Coin Bank came from one of the dozens of various estate sales I’ve been to over the years. This Bank is filled with Old US Coins, I weighed this and it weighs 2.29LB Pounds. The coins should be from the 1800’s and/or to the 1930’s, this is a general broad range educated guess/assumption based on the age of the tin box itself being from the 1930’s. Clasp Closed on the front, this tin coin box has heavy rust, wear, scratches, paint chips, etc. The potential for rare coins or dates within this is very high, I’ve heard stories of old Silver coins being within these types of old tins and it would not surprise me if this had silver or had good coins within. However please read below. All old coin types, silver, and denominations are possible. Please understand this is unsearched so I can not promise you for certain that it’ll be lots of silver, or won’t or will have a specific coin or coin type. Pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and half dollars are all possible but there’s no promise every denomination above will be in the bank, since I have no idea. Of course physical condition of these coins is also unknown, so please make no assumptions on the coins conditions, besides something broad such as a general mix of used conditions. Many of the potential rare years (listed above) are hard to find and unlikely in general due to lower mintages, as such please don’t assume there will be any specific ones here, and if there are any, be surprised that there are.
