It contains 2 oz of 0.9999 fine silver and has a diameter of 40.69mm. The coin features an antiqued strike type and is graded MS 69 by NGC. It comes in an NGC archival acrylic holder and has a mintage of 888. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, while the reverse features a colored image of a white tiger. Guardian of the West. One of the Four Symbols that each guard one quarter of the heavens, the White Tiger is the legendary guardian of the West. According to traditional stories, it was destined to appear when the emperor ruled with unquestionable kindness and morality, or whenever there was peace throughout the world. The coin portrays the White Tiger climbing among mountainous peaks. The design includes representations of Asian Maple trees with red coloured leaves. Also incorporated in the design are the Chinese characters for “white tiger”. This coin has been individually’antiqued’ by hand to give a unique finish conveying the surface abrasions of an ancient artefact.
