Details: A fantastic and wonderfully designed antique Victorian sterling silver double sovereign case fob with lovely detailing hallmarked London 1893 to the interior by Joseph Walton, engraved initials to the exterior. This is a wonderful item that would make a perfect gift or addition to any collection. We are more than happy to provide XRF reports for items upon request. Condition Report: The item is in condition commensurate with age, all our items are quality conditioned prior to listings however some may have age related signs of wear commensurate with their antique status; please refer to the photos provided as they further inform condition. A rare English solid sterling silver sovereign and gold coin case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1908 with the makers marks being SM&Co for Sampson Mordan. It has been superbly designed having a. Sprung compartment which can be depressed allowing coins to be inserted – not unusually the hinge is gold. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs – light surface marks from use. The springs that hold the coins are strong. 1.25 inches (3.4cms) across excluding the loop by 0.5 inch (1.3cms) wide and weighs 30 grams. A superb quality piece.
