This is an authentic silver drachm from the reign of Vahram (Bahram) V, one of the most celebrated rulers of the Sasanian Empire, known for his legendary prowess and cultural patronage. Struck between 420 and 438 AD at the GW (Gurgan) mint, the coin reflects the elegant artistry and symbolism of the late Sasanian period. Bust of King Bahram V facing right, wearing a winged crown with a star and crescent, surrounded by a Pahlavi inscription and dotted border. Zoroastrian fire altar with head of Bahram right on shaft, flanked by two attendants, star and crescent symbols above, with mint and regnal marks in Pahlavi script. Diameter: 28.6 mm.
