Museum quality early American coin silver pitcher decorated with a repousse garland of flowers around the top and bottom shoulders, figural winged feet wearing strap sandals and bearing the makers mark for the short lived partnership of William Gale and Joseph Moseley that lasted about five short years. Weight of 74.7 troy ounces. Irca 1828 – 1833. Approximately 14 + 5/8 inches tall to the top of the finial by 11 inches across including the handle and spout. Condition – Age appropriate, the finial might be ever so slightly pushed, and there are a few very tiny pinpoint dimples in the blank band around the middle on the side opposite the cartouche. As part of German reparations following World War II, ownership of the vessel was transferred to the Soviet Union, where it was re-christened the Sedov. This Rwanda Nautical Ounce series 2021 Sedov coin is a product of Germany’s Meyer Mint. The 40 mm diameter coin is crafted from 1 Troy oz.
