Very Rare – Original Paul Revere Jr. Coin Silver Dessert Spoon with the hallmark PR. The item measures 5 & 3/4 inches long. The item comes in a custom case that includes a nameplate, 1/2 oz. This ornate styled, circa LATE 1700s- early 1800s spoon, has a fancy engraved design on the tip of the handle. It has a rounded, upturned handle and the initial D also hand- engraved. It is hallmark stamped with the PR (Paul Revere) hallmark, on the backside of the handle, as typical. This decorative coin silver spoon was made by America’s most famous Revolutionary War Patriot-Silversmith, Paul Revere, Jr. And has his identifiable hallmark, PR very clearly. Being a dessert spoon, this one is quite rarer than most known examples. This would make a wonderful addition to any collection. One of the finest examples known. , (1734 – 1818), Famous American Silversmith of Boston, Patriot of the Revolutionary War Era Massachusetts, Son of Liberty who made the historic “Paul Revere’s Ride” warning The British are Coming! .
