The obverse usually shows a highly stylised human head, derived from earlier classical prototypes. The reverse features an abstract horse with pellets and geometric symbols, a hallmark of British Celtic coinage. These staters reflect a local, non-Roman economy shortly before the Roman conquest of Britain in AD 43. NGC certifies most US, world, and ancient coins, tokens, and medals. The certification process consists of authentication, grading, attribution, and encapsulation in plastic holders or Coin slabs. NGC certification offers significant protection against counterfeiting, misattribution, overgrading, and damage. This ancient coin is a must-have for any collector of coins and for anyone who appreciates the beauty and significance of historic artifacts.

(United Kingdom) George III. King: 25 October 1760 – 29 January 1820 1818 LIX Silver Crown 37.8mm (28.28 grams) 0.925 Silver 0.8409 oz. ASW Reference: KM# 675, S# 3787 (1818-20) Certification: NGC. MS 60 5747175-001 GEORGIUS III D:G: BRITANNIARUM REX F: D: P I S T R U C C I, Laureate portrait of King George III right. HONI · SOIT · QUI · MAL · Y · PENSE. P I S T R U C C I, St. George slaying the dragon right within Garter, legend around. George III (George William Frederick; 4 June 1738 – 29 January 1820) was King of Great Britain and King of Ireland from 25 October 1760 until the union of the two countries on 1 January 1801, after which he was King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland until his death. He was concurrently Duke and prince-elector of Brunswick-Lüneburg (“Hanover”) in the Holy Roman Empire before becoming King of Hanover on 12 October 1814. He was the third British monarch of the House of Hanover, but unlike his two predecessors, he was born in England, spoke English as his first language, and never visited Hanover. His life and with it his reign, which were longer than those of any of his predecessors, were marked by a series of military conflicts involving his kingdoms, much of the rest of Europe, and places farther afield in Africa, the Americas and Asia. Early in his reign, Great Britain defeated France in the Seven Years’ War, becoming the dominant European power in North America and India. However, many of Britain’s American colonies were soon lost in the American War of Independence. Further wars against revolutionary and Napoleonic France from 1793 concluded in the defeat of Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. In the later part of his life, George III had recurrent, and eventually permanent, mental illness. Although it has since been suggested that he had the blood disease porphyria, the cause of his illness remains unknown. After a final relapse in 1810, a regency was established, and George III’s eldest son, George, Prince of Wales, ruled as Prince Regent. On George III’s death, the Prince Regent succeeded his father as George IV. Historical analysis of George III’s life has gone through a “kaleidoscope of changing views” that have depended heavily on the prejudices of his biographers and the sources available to them. Until it was reassessed in the second half of the 20th century, his reputation in the United States was one of a tyrant; and in Britain he became “the scapegoat for the failure of imperialism”. Great Britain , also known as Britain , is an island in the North Atlantic off the north-west coast of continental Europe. With an area of 209,331 km. (80,823 sq mi), it is the largest island in Europe and the ninth-largest in the world. In 2011 the island had a population of about 61 million people, making it the third-most populous island in the world, after Java in Indonesia and Honshu in Japan. The island is the largest in the British Isles archipelago, which also includes the island of Ireland to its west and over 1,000 smaller surrounding islands. The island is dominated by an oceanic climate with quite narrow temperature differences between seasons. Politically, the island is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, constituting most of its territory: most of England, Scotland, and Wales are on the island, with their respective capital cities, London, Edinburgh, and Cardiff. The term Great Britain often extends to include surrounding islands that form part of England, Scotland, and Wales. A single Kingdom of Great Britain resulted from the Union of Scotland and England (which already comprised the present-day countries of England and Wales) in 1707. More than a hundred years before, in 1603, King James VI, King of Scots, had inherited the throne of England, but it was not until 1707 that the Parliaments of the two countries agreed to form a unified state. In 1801, Great Britain united with the neighboring Kingdom of Ireland, forming the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, which was renamed the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland after the Irish Free State seceded in 1922. (United Kingdom) George III. King: 25 October 1760 – 29 January 1820 1799 Silver Pattern Fullterton Half-Crown 33mm Reference: Forrer II, pg. MS 63 3218754-005 GEORGIVS P. 1799, , King George III right. DUX EONISOIT QUIMALYPENSE, Crowned set of four Coat-of-arms, four fleur-de-lis. Coin Notes: Engraved by J. Milton and struck by Matthew Yound for Colonel Fullerton. A fetching specimen from this highly collectible Pattern-only series exhibits subdued reflectivity masked by heavy and deep gold and cobalt toning. Item: i81753 Authentic Coin of. (United Kingdom) George III. King: 25 October 1760 – 29 January 1820 1787 Silver Shilling 26mm (6.06 grams) 0.925 Silver 0.179 oz. ASW Stop After III Reference: KM# 607.1 (No Stops at Date) Certification: NGC. AU DETAILS 2838155-014 GEORGIVS·III· DEI·GRATIA·, Older laureate and cuirassed bust of King George III facing right. MBFETHREXFDBETLDSRIATETE, Cruciform shields with large Garter star central, crowns in angles; year below. Item: i88866 Authentic Coin of. (United Kingdom) under Henry VIII – King: 22 April 1509 – 28 January 1547 1526-44 Silver 4 Pence 25mm (2.73 grams) London Mint. Reference: S-2337E Certification: NGC. UNC DETAILS 6055287-007 nRIC D G GL FR Z IB RX, Henry facing right. POSVI DV DIVTOR MV, Quartered shield of arms over long cross fourchée. Coin Notes: A razor-sharp strike and clean fields make this an attractive four-pence. Henry VIII (28 June 1491 – 28 January 1547) was King of England from 1509 until his death in 1547. Henry is best known for his six marriages, and, in particular, his efforts to have his first marriage (to Catherine of Aragon) annulled. His disagreement with Pope Clement VII on the question of such an annulment led Henry to initiate the English Reformation, separating the Church of England from papal authority. He appointed himself the Supreme Head of the Church of England and dissolved convents and monasteries, for which he was excommunicated. Henry is also known as “the father of the Royal Navy, ” as he invested heavily in the navy, increasing its size from a few to more than 50 ships, and established the Navy Board. Domestically, Henry is known for his radical changes to the English Constitution, ushering in the theory of the divine right of kings. He also greatly expanded royal power during his reign. He frequently used charges of treason and heresy to quell dissent, and those accused were often executed without a formal trial by means of bills of attainder. He achieved many of his political aims through the work of his chief ministers, some of whom were banished or executed when they fell out of his favour. Thomas Wolsey, Thomas More, Thomas Cromwell, Richard Rich, and Thomas Cranmer all figured prominently in his administration. Henry was an extravagant spender, using the proceeds from the dissolution of the monasteries and acts of the Reformation Parliament. At home, he oversaw the legal union of England and Wales with the Laws in Wales Acts 1535 and 1542, and he was the first English monarch to rule as King of Ireland following the Crown of Ireland Act 1542. Henry’s contemporaries considered him an attractive, educated, and accomplished king. He has been described as “one of the most charismatic rulers to sit on the English throne” and his reign has been described as the “most important” in English history. He was an author and composer. As he aged, however, he became severely overweight and his health suffered, causing his death in 1547. He is frequently characterised in his later life as a lustful, egotistical, harsh and insecure king. He was succeeded by his son Edward VI. Whether your goal is to collect or give the item as a gift, coins presented like this could be more prized and valued higher than items that were not given such care and attention to.
