This Piece is in Great age-appropriate condition (light surface scratches), and it’s bowl is has not been worn out of form. The Spoon has a double period Monogram (appears to be “LM”) on the front of the handle, and is double stamped “JR” for Joseph Richardson Jr. On the back of the handle. Length of Spoon: 9 inches. This rare and handsome piece remains in varying condition (please see condition report for specifics and exceptions), bears no monogram or erasure, and lays in wait for the collector! I have had so many inquiries about the hallmark. I took this to Skinner Auctions and they immediately identified it as James Geddy. They do not do authentications unless you pay. I have finally located their source. Many have not because it is under the name James Geddes-same person son of gunsmith James Geddes of Williamsburg Va.
